Quality Physical Education: What's curriculum got to do, got to do with it? The importance of quality physical education linked to an actionable curriculum has never been greater. This talk will highlight local and global initiatives related to the development of "quality physical education" and what QPE actually looks like. Further, with the last decade's exponential rise of physical literacy research and practice, it is now possible to imagine PE pedagogy coupled with a curriculum that leads to the development of physical literacy for all. Examples of "physical literacy enriched pedagogy" will be shared. Finally, this talk will highlight Manitoba's health and physical education curriculum development in light of all these advances. Presenter: Dr. Dean Kriellaars Dean is a faculty member of the Department of Physical Therapy, College of Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Manitoba.
